I found that when the C6 first came out not many of them waved, but I don't think they were being snobbish, I think they were just new to the Corvette world and didn't know what was going on.
Now that the C6 has been out a while, these owners have grown accustomed to other Corvette owners waving to them, and I notice that more than 50% of C6 owners will wave back at me now.
Look guys/gals, I know the feeling of getting your first Corvette, and wanting to share being apart of the Vette community with every vette on the road. Just don't chastise other generations because they don't wave.
When I first bought my Corvette, I didn't know one thing about this wave. It was only through my curiosity that I went online to see what it was all about. Lo and behold I found CF and figured it all out. It isn't like there's a manual on Corvette etiquette inside the owners manual.
I wave at everybody, but theres no skin off my back if I get snubbed. A lot of the times I am so in tune with driving my car, I'm more focused on the road. Hell, I've missed my fair share of waves.
I would only have a different opinion of the driver, not the generation if I tried to engage them in a conversation at a meet and they chose to ignore me.
Be happy that you are apart of a great community, wave when you can and enjoy your car.
i wave at all vettes and 99% of the time when i wave at a c6 it happens to be a 50+ year old woman on her cell phone(no offense to any women on this forum because if your on here, you actually care)..
i guess they're too spoiled by their rich husbands to know their driving a vette...
here's a from LA (lower alabama)
I like to wave, it spreads good cheer at a minimum, expecially with the general "anger' on the road. It really pisses my girl friend off (typical hardcore scorpio) if they don't wave.
I started with motorcycles many years ago and don't care what kind of bike you have, you get a wave. Did it with my Camaro too, and now happy that the Vettes have the tradition.
To tell you the truth, most times I don't even look to see if someone waves back or not.
I feel bad if I'm not paying attention and miss it when someone passes me and I don't wave. It is true though that alot more C6 drivers either ignore you, don't know about the wave, or just don't care.Keep it up though, they'll catch on . Here's one from Joisey.
