It's hard to believe it, but even after 6 months of ownership, this is the first time I am actually going on a mini roadtrip in the vette. (Excluding, of course the drive from Georgia to Texas the same night that I bought the car.)
After work I am going to be driving from Houston to San Antonio, then to San Marcos and back home on Sunday. I know it's not a cross country trip or anything like that, but it beats driving around town. And the best part of it is...even my wife is excited to travel in the vette! (This is part of an email I got earlier today from my wife:"Cant wait to get off of work....and have weekend with you and your vette.")
Anyways, I know it wont be the prettiest weekend to be driving a vette and most of you in that area will have your cars tucked away in your garages, but if you are out and see a NBM be sure to wave!
In the state of Texas that is practically cross-country. Seems like it takes two days to cross that huge state!
Have fun and take pictures. I took mine on a trip from Orlando to Bowling Green to St Louis and back two months after I got it. I had the best time too. (I was surprised, not one hassle skipping across the country in a red vette!)
I also found it to be the most comfortable car I've ever driven on a long trip.
Enjoy your trip !! It's in the 40's here and the Vette is still under the covers . My wife can't wait till we make our 1st road trip of the year this Spring to Bowling Green and then on to Flordia !!!!!
