Not the cheapest, but the best on the market IMHO. That's why it's the only one we choose after looking at 16 different models.

I went with the el cheapo Harbor Freight unit - $7 on sale otherwise about $15. They've been fine for two years now. $.02

Chicago Electric Power Tools AUTOMATIC BATTERY FLOAT CHARGER $7.49

3 seasons on my 2 Verts, my brother has used them on his quads and my nephew on his C3.
I have given 6 away at the Xmas gift exchanges the last 3 years.... all still working perfectly.

You can pay more but you can't buy better !

Any comments on the Battery Tender Jr. or Battery Tender Plus chargers?

One of my Schauer Charge-Masters just failed and needs to be replaced. I had this Schauer permanently installed in the C5 battery area for a couple of years with no problem. Think the heat and vibration finally took its toll.

I've had the Battery Tender Plus for 3 years now. It's worked great so far. I used it the first 2 winters I had the car in NY. Now that I'm in SC, I don't store the car for the winter, so I've been using it to keep the boat battery charged.

I have the weatherproof JR. I have been using it for 3 years now, no issues.

The BATTERY TENDER JR. (.75 amp) or BATTERY TENDER PLUS (1.25 amp) or the CTEK will work just fine (especially w/ an OPTIMA battery) for long term winter storage application.
I'm currently (pun intended) using two BATTERY TENDER PLUS float chargers, the oldest is just over 10 years old and the newest is just 6 months old. If one fails, I'll probably try the CTEK...it's made in Europe and has a good reputation of reliability.
