The vendor for that mod posted here a few years ago. They started installing those in high-end cars like MB's and Porsches. I think the price at the time was around $1K.
There is a very similar mod how-to that someone posted here about the same time where they pulled a non-electrochromatic mirror apart and installed the guts of the remote V1 display in the same position to simulate the Euro version posted above.
Personaly it woud look a little bit better if it blended in with the glass better. Like when there wasn't a display it just looked like a regular old mirror. Kind of like the side mirror turn signals.
