I just saw a show where the show host were using Cherry Bombs. Cherry Bombs were all the rage in my youth ( only a few years ago ). I thought they went out of business. Is anyone here using them?

Not only are they still around, they are attempting a come back. They have a new promo car, a dodge charger that is ugly as hell. I'll see if I can find a pic.
Never heard of Cherry Bomb exhaust its a good thing you clarified for us youngblood.
Yup. Had them on my 73 Camaro. If I remember correctly, they were thin, long, red and had a slice cut out of the sides.
Headers to cherry bombs to stright pipes. I personally loved they way they sounded.
*Edited* Forget my description...See above post. GWurst posted while I was typing.. That would be them!

Growing up every other Camaro in my neighborhood had a set of these:
They were great...I got a big fat ticket the day after I put them on my chevy...not for improper equipment but for excessive noise...all they are were glass packed mufflers but straight through also and they sounded wonderful...at idle they were not noisy at all but at wot they raised hell...after he stopped me, the officer got in back of my car and told me to rev it and I would not do it so he sat in my seat and reved it himself then wrote me the ticket...I took them off the car before going to court and showed the judge the receipt and he dismissed the case...the officer was totally pizzed and and I might add that he has been retired for decades but is still probably looking for me to
Its funny I came across this post. I am going with a Cherrybomb system in the next couple of weeks. A good buddy owns a muffler shop and went out to the "Anco" I think facility late last year for a conference and they compared a Cherry bomb system to a Flowmaster on a dyno and the Cherrybomb out performed. He has been using these mufflers for a while and wanted to put a set on my car so I am going for it. They are making a big comeback and seem to be a good product. Looking at them from the outside they are very similar to Flows, but a guess "flow" better
I have a set on my 90 Vette. Sounds mellow at idle but, once you get on it.... Mine are located in the spot where my pre-cats used to be! Louder than a Harley at WOT!
