I bought the GM-specific IPOD2CAR somewhere else, which already had a PXHGM1 cable (both were needed).

I'm guessing that you're looking at Item #541PXHGM4, which is a single cable for the universal IPOD2CAR package (which they appear to sell).

In my situation, I have an 03 with the remote 12 Disc CD player mounted in the rear. The only cable I'll need to buy to "hard wire" the HK Drive & Play thing up ...is the GMAUX-10 cable ...and nothing else, correct???

I have a 2000 and I removed the CD changer, is this all I need too?

I am very interested in doing this, but need to be absolutely sure.

I bought the kit on ebay used from some guy, but it came with all the cables like new. The one cable needed for the vette w/out a changer however, does not come with it from Peripherial. I have a feeling that since the unit fits other cars too, they probably figured not many vettes would be getting it and just didnt supply the cable. Who knows.
I dont remember the harness number anymore, I would have to tear the HU out of the car......but im just not in the mood to go hacking, lol.

You are correct on the cable 541PXHGM4. So I need to find a GM specific iPod2Car then. If so, then what cables would I need beside the PXHGM1 cable that is included?

Red903L,

Yes, all you need is the GMAUX-10 connector.

This thread has kind of diverged a bit...

[QUOTE=Chalky;1558977150]I have an iPod and am curious about this setup using iPod2car. According to Crutchfield, all I need is the iPod2car and one cable they supply for $19.99. My car does not have a CD Changer or the corresponding cable.

What am I missing? The iPod2car they are offering sells for $149.00. Does that price include one of the two required cables?

Where can I get this connector?

I just bought the HK tonight, but after reading seems I will need this too.

I have a single cd unit in the dash and also have the 12 disk in the back.

DJLAW202,

I got mine at

www.logjamelectronics.com

You can probably find it at a lot of other online places too...
