I have a 99 & the rotors have a little wobble from the dreaded hard spots. I have seen drilled/slotted replacement rotors all over the place for all different prices. I know that you get what you pay for....
Has anyone bought those replacement rotors off flee-bay for like $200. Thats $50 a rotor but are they any good? Is the zinc plating any good? Thanks for your response.
Drilled rotors are for show mostly. They will crack. Lots of posts about that. Most use NAPA rotors for 25 bucks a piece. Excellent rotor at a good price. I use these and hawks hps pads. Lots of dust with these but I'll trade that for the stopping power. I just had a road course day this past saturday, they worked awesome.
get the NAPA rotors...use them, when they wear out- toss them and buy new ones...best bang for the buck...also use hi temp paint to paint the hats and fins so they don't show too much rust...the only downside to them...
I agree that NAPA has a great product for the price if you want to go with stock rotor. I went with the sloted rotor, little more bling... and ceramic pads for less dust. I am not into autocross, so stopping on a dime was not my objective. I wanted some nice rotor, but did not want to see my investment crack like with drilled. I also painted the hats and outer edge (fins) with Hi-Temp paint. Picked up the sloted rotor for $35 each for the front.

Hard to beat the NAPA rotors if you want a stock look. For something with more bling, the Sportbrakes are good and reasonably priced (about $250 for the set). I run a set of Baer Eradispeeds on mine and they were $700 with pads.
I got my set from R1Concepts on fleebay. They weren't $200, more like $270 shipped, including semi metallic pads. So far they seem to be great, but I only have a couple thousand miles on them. The zinc plating is holding up very well. I will be replacing the pads with a set of ACDelco Ceramic pads, to help with dust, but otherwise the included pads also seem to be very good, and wearing evenly.
