I finally located the cause of "cold weather rattle" that has been nagging me for past few weeks.
Buried in another "dash rattle" post from yesterday corvettebob1 posted:
"Next time you have the rattle reach up and grab the vanity mirror lid on the sun visor.
That's where mine comes from, nearly dove my dealer nuts trying to find it since it only shows up in cold weather."
I tried that solution this morning and it positively identified the source of the rattle! I was close to tearing into the dash to try to find the nagging problem! Now all I need to do is fix it!

Good that you found it and now you don't have to tear the dash apart - sure saves a lot of time and effort.
