That is what I am gathering from doing some more research. It looks like you can carry a patch kit and also looks like you get better performance from regular tires over the run flats.
You can just buy a small compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter, a plug kit from any auto parts store, a pair of gloves, and also in my kit are 2 cans of Fix-a-Flat in case all alse fails....
Most, if not all, fix-a-flat cans will ruin your Tire Pressure Sensors (TPSs). Z06's did not come with TPSs, hence they had cans of fix-a-flat to use in case of a flat. Better to use a compressor.
Few jacks can fit under a C5 with a flat. If you do not remove the tire, good luck finding the puncture, much less using a plug.
Can you tell, I stayed with runflats.

Run flats cannot be repaired. You must replace them. Kind of stupid to overpay for a tire that you just throw away. Quite costly. Try to find a dealer with your runflat size in stock. Stay overnite one or two days and your dealer might just get one in. In a pinch, a compressor and patch kit will get you going and save that tire. Anything else, a cellphone and AAA can handle. Can you tell, I stayed away from runflats?

Goodyear runflats can be repaired and keep their speed rating. I had it done on two of my old tires. To repair you generally need to travel 50 miles or less not the full 200 miles. Some makes of runflats can not be repaired.
You are also paying for SAFETY and peace of mind, how much that is worth is up to you !
