Wagon WHEEL ?
Have seen the term Wagon Wheels used many times on this forum but have no idea exactly what they are. Can someone please explain this term. Pics would also be nice.
Thanks

Wagon wheel is the term used to describe factory wheels used on 97-99 vettes.

Still confused after the previous posts with pic. What makes them different from let's say the wheels on a 2003?

Any reason the term stopped being used after 99?

A 2003 would have a different wheel as stock, not sure which one!
Wagon wheel is just a term for the style of wheel in the pics that were standard on early C5's
Thin spokes is another! Now your more confused!

The spokes on the wheels of a 2003 are thinner.
Here is a picture of the thinner style

No, I'm gettting it. You have to excuse the confusion, getting old has done that to me.
Thanks for the response.

After 99 the Vette was no longer pulled by a team of horses and an engine was fitted so wagon wheels were no longer needed!

for 2000 they switched the base style to a thinner spoked wheel,
and for the rest of the C5 run they went to what we call thin spoke wheels

And (usually) either you hate them or love them.
I still have them on my '99 because changing them doesn't make the car sound better or go faster. I'm not cheap, just basically lazy.

Wagon wheels/ugly crappy wheels are interchangeable terms.

97vetteman -- You crack me up.
Gee, I sure do recognise that car but a lot of changes have been made thanks to the folks on the forum. For one, it now has 505's on it. I'm afraid to ask this question, but what do I call the new wheels?
(Can't wait to see the answers)
