How old were you when you realized you wanted a corvette? For me... I was 5, it was 1969 and my uncle showed up with his 67 that he just bought and took me for a ride, when he brought me back I turned to my parents and said, someday I'll have one. I've been hooked since. I've had alot of different sports or sporty cars Z28's etc. but the vette has always been my favorite. I will always have a vette from here on out. BTW 67 is one of my favorite yrs. someday I will own 1 ! Enjoy your rides and to all you people wanting a vette good luck in realizing your dream
I love sport cars form the age of 10. I had the Camaro, Firebird C4 and now my C5. Little did I know that the the first two are not sport cars. I thought the Camaro was fast the I got into the vette For as long as I live I will have a Corvette.
18. I can remeber the day as if it was yesterday. I used to pump gas back in the "full service" days and one of my customers said "Fill it up and here's the keys...take it for a spin when your done and let me know what you think." (It was a brand new 84 black C4 ) I've been in love ever since
Around 1969-1972. My Dad and I always said we would get one, we both loved the C3 body stye. However he never has gotten one, and at 84 I think he's just glad the dream came true for me.
He fell in love with one he saw at the 1963-4 Worlds Fair in New York. He was working there, but he never would have spent the money. The man truly saved it all for us to get College educations.
Funny thing is my parents have had 6 cars in 60 years of marriage. How many have most of us had My Dad finally got his first car (a car registered to him) at 74 years old. Of course it was a Volvo, strickly utiliatarian. I keep telling him they don't write songs about Volvo's
ever since i was 5 my father said he would buy me a corvette. it was really his dream to own one and my fantasie to drive one , so low and behold on my 17th birthday he come's home with this see sig .
im 20 now
It was 1979 and I was 18. Bought a white 1971 coupe.
As I look back on it, it was not built very well and did not ride as nice as my 2001..but that is to be expected. Still was a great car. Got lots of looks from the babes!!!!
I'd say about 20, i'm 25 now. I've been a F Body guy since I was 10. My Mom used to take me to Middle School in her 69 RS Camaro. They were always my favorite cars. Up until my dad bought her a 96 LT1 with only 34k miles, this was in 2002. She didn't really like it, it was Torch Red w/ tan interior. I thought it looked great. It sat for a year, and I had just sold my commuter. Which was a 68 Chevy C/20 Long Bed Pick Up that was tricked out. So my Dad suggested I buy the vette, he was a wholesaler at the time and happened to get a really good deal on it. So I said why not, and fell in love with it right away. But it was an auto, so after a couple years I felt the itch for a 6 speed. So the search for a C5 began. I ended up with my 02 Z and will never look back. I will always have a vette.
I was probably 4ish. I started looking at Vette magazines and Corvette books before I could read. When I was that young, I enjoyed Corvettes because my dad was into them. Over the years, the addiction became my own. But I have to admit, I ended up with a much nicer one than I originally thought I'd have!
I always thought Corvettes were nice, but until the Z06 came out and was tagged as somewhat of a giant killer it dawned on me that the Z06 is the ultimate bang for the buck in terms of performance thrills.
It was only 2 1/2 years ago i told myself I would buy one at the age of 18 and I did aug of '06 a 00 coupe and bought a second one not long after in oct that same year. Im 19 now
like many others have said I'll always drive Vettes
back in the day when i was 19.....3 months later i had my 99 FRC..and was still 19...and im now 20..
It is nice to see the younger Corvette generation piping up here.
I thought they ALL drove Honda civics with tail pipes bigger around than their heads!
I was 7 years old and my uncle gave me a ride in his 1957 Corvette. He only drove it to car shows, and the thing had like 200 miles on it. Now I'm 20, and I got my first Vette 2 months ago.
And my best friend in Iraq got his first Vette when he was 15. It was an 84 and it was a pile of junk, but it was fast. Now he has a 95, and soon a C5.
