Hello all. I have an 1998 c5 and i recently replaced my ac/heater cluster because the bulb or lights wouldnt show up. Now the problem im facing is that I get heat on my passengers side but on the drivers side I get no heat. What could be the possible solution to this. I was thinking theromstat? But I find it werd that it works fine on the passengers side. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
It is the diverter doors, the motors are out of sync or one may have a stripped gear.
We have an entire dual control unit here for $200 if you want, but to at least get cold air go through the DIC codes & clear the havac ones, it will try to reset in sync. May work, may not.
See post #23 for pictures of the bulbs that light up your buttons,
See post #42 for pictures of the contacts to re-solder for your display.
We just did J.P.M.'s HVAC controll on Saturday, re-soldered the 8 contacts and the display works just fine, he has to order new LED's and we will replace the bulbs.
This way since you have your old unit out, you can fix it, then send the one you just bought back for a refund.
