Default No dust brake pads

I need some no dust brake pads. I'm sick of having black front rims from brake dust. It feels like I wash the car one day and the very next day my front rims are dirty again. What are some good brake pads that won't dust as much but will stop decent.

Ceramic pads will solve the dust issue. Can't recommend a good one though.

You say you're looking for "off-road X pipes" which implies you wanna track the car. If so, the current OEM pads on your car are probably your best choice. Pads that create little or "no" dust do not perform as well as the stock pads.

I'm using the ACDelco ceramic pads...vey little to no dust at all. You will lose a little braking performance, but they are fine for street use.

I use Raybestos QS. They are really good for getting me to stop and create virtually no dust... I did notice a little less bite at the beginning but that also might have been because I replaces the rotors at the same time with nickle coated Baer Eradispeed rotors...

Hi there...

I'm having a special free shipping sale tomorrow and these would fall in the category. They should be 108.88 shipped for front and rear.

Thanks,
Gene

Hi ls1mtz -

I put autozone ceramics on our 99 coupe.

After they broke in, they have been very good - feel is excellent and dust is almost non-existant.

We do not track the car, so we only have street experience, but we have had some panic stop situations (white tailed deer country) and they perform admirably in that situation.

They were ~$80 for all four.

best regards -

Did this close to a couple years back also. Hard pressed to notice any street difference. "thanks Gene!!!"

I put HAWK HPS pads on my Z. Very little dust compared to OEM and stops a lot better then OEM.

Just get some black CCWs...that will take care of the dust issue.

Not necissarily. Some of us can get away with it on the street. Please don't call the EPA on me! :o

I went with the GM ceramic brake pads. I love them. I did not notice any brake feel difference, but I don't race my car.... so what do I know...

Almost no brake dust at all !

I tried the ceramics and didn't like them. They don't have the same "bite" that the stock Z06 pads have. There were a couple of times when I'd have to hit the brakes pretty hard and I wondered if they'd actually stop in time. The pads were the AC Delco ceramics... I'm back on stock Z06 pads now becuase of the improved stopping power and I track the car now.

I use the GM ceramics as my daily driver pads. They don't have the bite or overall stopping performance of the stock Z06 pads, but for the street they should work just fine. I do change over to the Z06 pads when I drive the car on the track and they work very well for that.

IMHO, those that have stopping issues with the ceramics on the street must be driving way to hard. I have experienced brake fade with the ceramics, but that was during an experiment on the track and I would not come close to driving my car that hard on the street.

FWIW I run autozone ceramics on the street and Wilwood H pads for the track.

Stock Z06 pads feel great, but they're messy on the street and they're not enough for the kind of track use I put the car through.
