Hey guys I am a new vette owner. I bought a 97 coupe with 65K miles. The car seems in pretty good shape all it has is a few scratches. I was wondering how many of you actually use your cars as daily drivers and at what mileage should I stop driving the car on a daily basis. Sorry for the dumb question

I use mine as a daily driver. I've also modified it and it's still a perfect daily driver. (Dynatech LT Headers, Hi-Flow cats, X-pipe, B&B Bullet exhaust, 4.10:1 Stage 1 Diff, B&M Ripper shifter, and more...)
I just passed the 70k mark on mine, which is also a '97 6sp, and won't stop driving it until somethin breaks. Then I'll fix it - and continue driving it!!!
If i were you - I'd drive this beauty as much as possible, forget about "Oh it'll be worth 4 million 50 years down the road... blah blah blah. "
Think about gas prices 50 years down the road, you won't be able to drive it... so get it out while you can!!! LOL
My 04 coupe has been a daily driver for the last year and 20k miles. Great gas mileage, gobs of power, comfortable, quiet without runflats, and great stero. All I have had to do is change oil and tires, cant ask for a better vehicle than that.
Another DD here. You bought a used C5 (as did I), taking advantage of the depreciation the original owner ate. DRIVE IT! Every chance you get. Take trips. Go to the track. It's not a collector car, it's made to be driven.
If you're worried about "issues" arising, I'll just say that IMO 10 year old cars develop more "issues" sitting around than they do from use. So...did I mention...DRIVE IT!
Thank you guys for all the response. I am only 24 eventhough I have had new cars since I was 16 I feel like this is my first car. I have never been in love with a car like I have this one.. :o

Congrats on becoming a young Vette owner. I'm 26 now, and was 24 when I bought my car.
Another suggestion: find your local autocross club and do some events. It will really help you get comfortable with the handling limits of the car at normal street speeds. A few of them, and you'll be ready to step up to a track day.
It's my only vehicle so yes it's a DD. Oh and it had 14.3K now has 19.6K subtract 2200 miles for a vacation, so that's 3100 miles in 5 1/2 months or about 563 miles per month.
I don't live far from where I work, maybe 4 miles or so.

I drive mine every day to work - which is 40 miles away - and I'm gonna drive it every day until it blows up (which I intend on trying to avoid for as long as possible)
Mine is a DD too. I spend the $33K to drive this car, and I drive it every chance I get. Just looking at one would have been much cheaper though.
Congrats and ENJOY it.

Mileage won't matter...maintaining routine maintenance does
This is my DD....it's just about to turn 150K miles. Never been back to the dealer since new, never left me walking, CLB has prevented any column lock-ups (no recall done) and still has original clutch that continues to grab like a newborns mouth on a you-know-what!!
This FRC has been by far the most reliable car I've ever owned and I don't baby it by any stretch. More reliable than my LS430
I bought my 98 salvaged in 2001 with about 62k on it. Got it on the road in 2003 and I have over 105k on it. I drag race regularly and drive it as often as possible from spring to fall. Still runs great! I replaced the shocks and the aftermarket diff that I blew up twice! If I could afford two, I might keep one in the garage!
