Default low tires computer sensoring program

i am surprised Gm did not use the computer for low tire warnings on Corvettes. In my Buick Gm has the computer traction control much like the corvette and it monitors the speed of the tires, if one tires spins faster than the others you get a low tire warning.

Granted you do not know which tire it is, but you stop look and check them and find it pretty easy. Seems like you could program this into a corvette computer. right?

This system works real well and has saved my *** twice on long hauls with slow leaks just pulled into the nearest tire shop and back on the road !

Anybody have any idea why they did not? Maybe because they are different size tires? Still a good program could compensate for that, right?

Different size tires may be one reason, but the chances of a wheel (or wheels) spinning faster than the others on a Vette is much more likely than on a Buick

Besides, the LTPWS in the Vette is independant from the Traction Control system. If you have wheels spinning at different rates on a Buick, getting a low tire pressure warning doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

I thought all C5s had the tire monitor pressure sensors. Mine (2001)displays a message on my dash when one of the tires is low.

silly person ........ there are no low tire pressure sensors on my Buick

it tells you the low tire by monitoring the speed of each tire. just like the traction control system in the corvette monitors tire speed

i guess i did go a little fast for everyone to understand hahahahaha J/K
