hi, iam a new first time vette owner. was just wondering what is a good tire and size to run on stock 2001 zo6 rims for the rear. mods r procharger, meth, exhaust, intake, and about 550rwhp. looking for something that will hook better then stock tire, i dont drive in bad weather. ty
If you don't drive in bad weather go ahead and put some drag radials on the rear. The car feels like a different car when you can actually hook it up.
Actually we have had the 555R (1) on my wife's H/C SS in 315/35ZR17 for almost a year, and it was my daily driver for a while in all weather and never had a problem...
I say nittos for the street but yuor car might just have way too much for them. The BFGs are pretty good and hook very well on the street. Good luck man and nice Z!

I guess they are ok if they are almost new. I had a set on my vette that were at about 1/2 tread and got caught in a down pour and slowed down to 35 and still hydroplaned and almost totalled my car. I was not even on the throttle either. I still run them on my car, I just don't drive it all the time anymore.
