I love the Aussie. It comes with a billet fly wheel now. I am on my 2nd and love it. Hold up great to the track high rpm launches on slicks yet is very stock like in feel. Good luck man!

I have a SPEC 3 in mine and I like it. HOWEVER, just because yours is sticking to the floor DOES NOT mean the clutch is shot. I just went through that a few months back. Change your clutch master cylinder fluid everyday for about a week until it clears up and I bet your sticking pedal problem goes away.

Check out the threads on sticky clutch syndrome....just use the turkey baster treatment to keep the fluid clear, and your clutch shouldn't stick anymore.

It's called the turkey baster technique. I learned it on this forum too. Use a turkey baster (no kidding) to suck the old oil out and replace it several times in a few days. My sticking problem went away.

Here is the protocol in brief.

Here are links to the original threads.

Clutch Pedal Woes--Fluid Changing Kit

A Pictorial On How to Clean Out the Clutch Fluid Reservoir

I've attached a picture of the syringe I use; lot better than a turkey baster. The Mix Mizer is available at Walmart and most auto parts stores. It's normal purpose is to correct measure oil for 2-stroke fuel mixtures.

Did you follow the protocol and repetitively change the clutch fluid and pump the pedal, over and over until the fluid remained clear?

Just changing the fluid once or twice is insufficient, if the pedal is already acting up.

Good woman you have.

If you open the reservoir now, what color is the fluid and which brand fluid are you using?

Yeah assuming you have driven it a couple times since you changed it, what color is the fluid now? My sticking pedal was horrible and after about 10 changes it was clear and acted like new.

Mine was doing the same when I got on it- I swapped the LS6 out for the LS7 clutch. When it was being replaced, it turned out that the pressure plate on my LS6 wasn't sitting flush, it was tilted slightly and thus only making contact with the outside of the clutch. I'm still breaking in my LS7, so I haven't been able to really get on it or anything, but already the car drives a whole lot smoother and much more solid.

Good luck!

LS7 Clutch won't support a hard launch, say above 3600. Also won't tolerate intentional slip to keep the revs up during the launch;it simply glazes and loses clamping power. If you refrain from that, it's OK but still produces nasty fluid in a short time; so frequent changes of the reservoir remain an ongoing necessity.

For those wishing to routinely visit the drag strip, do yourself a favor and avoid the LS7 clutch.

This clutch is by far the most popular and successful single disc clutch on the market right now for up to 600rwhp applications, more commonly called the TEXTRALIA 0Z 700 clutch with the light weight billet fly wheel referenced by Brother DAVE above. I just ordered mine on the GP that ECS had and if you call them they can still get you a killer deal on one probably shipped for around $979 and they may be having another GP in the near future and you can inquire on that also!

If you are going to be spraying in the future, go with the Textralia. Even a stocker in good shape will not hold with the torque spike of the spray on launch, or even banging gears.
