Awesome use of glass though.
This gets my vote for best post of '07 so far! I'm freakin' crying here!
I understand that if you put rubberbands on them they'll fall off in a couple of days.
Ouch guys. I referred her over here because I thought others would be interested in some unique custom options. These are only a few of the many styles I am sure she has. Lampworking/glass blowing is a difficult art to master. I have been working with glass for almost 10 years...the last 3 have included lampworking. Pretty harsh comments - If I had made these (as if I could) those comments would really sting. *shrug* art is subjective. It takes a lot of skill to place those dots with a 3mm wide, 13" long piece of glass over a flame.

No, the wouldn't. The way we work the glass and anneal it afterwords... it would definitely hold up. Think about how strong the glass dishes or cookware that you use is (Pyrex)...Lampworkers also use this glass - to us it is known as Borosilicate (Boro) as well as other glasses from Italy, Germany and the US.
I hope to get one soon and will be able to let you know. I'm 99% confident it would hold up better that others on the market.
Just as an FYI if you don't know about lampworking and how it is done (of if you are even interested):
These stand up to being dropped on concrete so o2z51 unless you are superman (which it appears from your sarcasm you may think you are?) you can't break them. They stand up great to abuse.
If you *** is big enough to fit one up there (which again from some of your posts they may very well be) I don't recommend it
They are installed in dozens of cars with many happy customers, clearly they aren't for the people on this forum.
Got to tell ya - now I remember why I stopped posting here. The local guys rock (I'd love to meet again! That day at Los Altos was great).... as for some of the other friendly vette people here....

Oh, come on folks. It's evening on CF and some people are letting their humor flow. There's no doubt that it takes quite a bit of talent to make something like that. Some of the crew is just having some fun. I will say that it's a good thing you didn't post over in OT. Now THERE'S a brutal bunch.
Good luck Nicker!
I can see those hanging from a Christmas tree or somehow displayed in a garden...just not on my vette. I don't want to hang a Monet off the rear view either. In MY opinion they are a little (OK...a lot) more suited for women. Not saying they are ugly...just not my thing and probably not appealing to most men. We can't help it...and if we could we wouldn't wan't to.
