I picked up my new 2001 Corvette last weekend. I live in Michigan and today it was sunny and about 30 degrees, I finally pulled her out of the garage and drove her for about 3 hours. I previously had a 91 Vette but this one is so much funner to drive, today I flet like I was in heaven, I didn't want to put it back in the garage. This was the best money I ever spent and I am so glad I purchased it, it brings a smile to my face everyday.
C-5+Michigan=battery tender! If you leave the car set for more than 2 weeks.........dead battery. C-5's are known for it. Go to walmart & get a batery tender. one that keeps a charge on the battery only if it falls below 12 volts.
I will post some picks sometime next week, supposed to get a winter storm Sunday and then warm up to 42 degrees on Wednesday go figure. I pretty much start it up every 2nd day and let it run for about 1/2 hour, the battery should be fine correct. Also, what is the best way to upload photos on the forum?

I worked extra hours and even covered co-workers on-calls to get enough for a down payment on the vehicle. To me all the extra work and hardwork was well worth it, I truly love this car and I feel like I am in heaven when I am out driving it. If there are any Corvette events coming to Michigan in Spring or Summer please let me know I would like to meet some of you.

Just like you, I traded my 91 for a C5 (2003) a few weeks ago. There is no comparison between the two, but I do miss the ride of the 91. Unlike you, I live in the sunny south and have been having a ball since the day I got it. Tomorrow we are taking a drive to the beach. Sorry, just had to say that. I lived in the Northeast most of my life. Congrats and welcome to the forum.
Enjoy your ride, you deserve it!
I went from a 78 to a 98. My first impression was; wicked fast. I still get a smile on my face every time I drive it.
Look forward to seeing more pics. Is that an aftermarket exhaust?
