The Toyota Prius ranked as the most satisfying vehicle overall for the fourth straight year based on the percentage of respondents who said they would buy the same model again, according to the magazine's annual car owner satisfaction survey. The Chevrolet Corvette again came in second.
Hmmm ... Should I take out the Prius or the Vette ...
My friend had one, I rode in it. It's kinda cool, it has a big screen in the middle that shows where the power is going, what systems are engaged.. animated arrows and stuff. When it goes into all electric mode, it's creepy because you don't hear ANYTHING! Its like it doesnt even have an engine.
Not much on the top end, but it's an environmentally concious car.
I test drove one... They are kind of cool.. I test drove it just to see how it worked.. very interesting.. Strange sitting at a stop light and hear nothing!..
It all depends, I guess.....if you're stuck in crawl-speed traffic for 45 minutes, the Prius is the car to have, knowing that you can drive under those conditions day after day and not have to buy gas for one month.
I heard that the gas milage was way less than advertised. I think the comment was made "you would have to drive like an 80 year old librarian " to get the milage they claim. Expect about 30% less....OOPS!
Toyota does sell well made vehicles. I like my Tundra, BUT the Vette is way more fun and at 70 to 80 mph I bet it gets about the same milage as a prius. If the Prius can even go that fast.
My friend has one and it is kind of neato to ride in.
I can't wait till we have Corvettes with 4 electric motors one mounted inside each rim with built in regenerators.
Those 4 motors would be there to augment a gas fed 300+ hp motor so you would end up putting down 500hp or so when you need it and up to 200 when you don't.
