safest thing to do is check with your d.m.v. re:% of tint allowed.some states can/will flunk your annual inspection if you're too dark.personally, the darker the better;but just driving your 'vette is going to get someone's attention.i don't want the potential hassle,so i abide by the law!

15% all the way around, plus half of windshield. I've never had a problem with getting stopped over it. A guy here in Pittsburg has done my last 3 corvettes, he knows his stuff cost I think was around $150

It sure cuts down on the heat in the summer, plus it looks good. That was one of my first things I did when I bought it.

Paid $150 for mine - 5% all around. Little dark at night, but not too bad. Looks SWEET.

I don't have the windows on the C5 tinted, but last time I got a quote, it was for $225 (from a shop in St. Louis).

I have 5% all around and 35% on my full windshield. Its dark but I have a black care with Black leather in Miami. So before the tints I would get in the car at noon and it was like walking into a furnace.

Just a tip if you are going to get the tints illegal take a pic of your car without the tints before you put them on. In case u get a ticket all you have to do is show a pic that they have been removed and thats it... I have used the same pic 3x in court already... LOL

Umm Janelle... I agree with what you say above but when you are pulled over by a cop... they are NOT looking at your window tint...

Some of you guys got great deals...on the flip side, a couple of you gott raped! I paid $175. for 13%. I did it for asthetics mostly, but it keeps it cooler inside as well.

Mine was about $250 with 10% tint all around. This included vinyl on the dots.

I paid $180 for mine. I've got 20% on the rear and 30% on the sides. I didn't go real dark on the sides because of "night time driving". If I'm not in town where it's all lite up, I have a hard time seeing out the side windows. I almost ran over a little kid on his bike once because I had 5% on the sides and I couldn't see. I love the way it looks on cars though!!

Two reasons I tint my windows.......1) I personally think it make any car look better, and 2).......I usually have about 3-5K into my stereo systems. I don't want anybody to be able to look in and see what I got in there!
