I had my C4 done for a little over 200. Amazing the guy got the back window in one piece. Will be having the wife's car done once the weather clears up and it's back in our garage, in the paint shop now.
In AZ you need it to keep the heat and sun out.
It looks much better.
Its harder for a scumbag to break the window and steal stuff.
Get some privacy.
I got 20% all around with 1 piece rear.
Its harder for a scumbag to break the window and steal stuff.
I'd disagree with this one.
The difficulty is no different, but in the eyes of a thief, tint has 2 distinct advantages....shattering a tinted window is much quieter, and since the tint keeps the shattered window intact, is easy to simply push out of the way, and not have a glass shard mess everywhere. Thieves don't like getting glass cuts either.
On the upside, the car owner will find cleaning up the mess a lot easier too.
Oak, your baby is a 'Vert.. the windows and top are ALWAYS down, aren't they??? If not, you're doing it wrong bud!! Oh wait, in storage everything is up, so you must want the window tint for "storage showing" right????
Tinting looks good for sure... You should ask Janelle, see where she got hers done?
Too much snow and blowing snow here to go anywhere just yet...
I went with the 20% (illegal, and on my truck as well) and did for the look, as well as protection from the sun. Here in Atlanta, summer will destroy the interior of your car IMHO
I will say I do not like it at night, makes it a little harder to see and that is a drawback to be honest.
I do not worry about the police, I figure if I am stopped it will be for something else
Not sure how much it is becuase it was already on mine when I bought it. Reason why, it looks bad *** and have you ever been in a car with black interior in florida?

Here in Jersey awhile back a Trooper was shot and killed on a traffic stop where window tint was blamed for the trooper not seeing it coming. The State Troopers ran with this and it has never "relaxed" as many violations do. Local LEOs aggressively enforce this as well. I would guess it has made it into Police training at an entry level and is reinforced throughout their careers. In this state ANY darkening other than factory is illegal on windshield and windows to either side of the driver. I guess all the criminal types have to sit in the back to hide now?
This topic brings to mind a thought I had when working in a Ford dealership in my 20s. For practicality and safety both in mind why couldn't all auto glass (as an option) be "Polarized" giving you the best of two worlds. Dark UV protection during the day and a lighter tint (like we have now) in the night time and on overcast days? I've been told that this process is not an expensive procedure.
Mine are tinted, they came with the car. I need to have the drivers side re-done (Im going to re-do the passengers at the same time). Besides blocking the sun it looks
A high quality tint looks good, cools the cabin on a hot day, provides UV protection for the interior and for whatever its worth adds a little privacy/anonyminity depending on how dark the tint is.
I Love the way the car looks tinted, non tinted ones look plain. I dont worry about thieves, my car is never left out, or left at a mall etc.
A Tip. If you have dark tinted windows and get pulled over. Lower both your windows all the way before the police approach your car. I have never gotten a ticket for tinted windows doing this. (ive done this with every car ive owned) That way they can see all thats going on in the car when they are approching and they apprieciate that.
I love the look of the windows black. Mine is 5% all the way around and I have no problem seeing at night. Others disagree but I guess I have gotten use to it
