Default impressed with z

Just wanted to say I am so impressed with my 01 Z . It is awesome.

Every day I drive it I still can't believe it. Today I was behind a rustang cobra who really got on it. I had to just about stand on my brakes to avoid running into him. hahaha I love it.

I still have a 95 z28 6 speed. I drove it yesterday and it feels like a dump truck compared to the z.

I just want to salute the best ever sports car in my opinion. America really got it right this time. Just goes to show we are the best in the world. (As some other people whose name I won't mention are finding out the hard way.)

Zach,

Not to say the z28 wasn't still a great car. It is a spectacular deal for the $. For years I thought it was a just a cheaper vette.

Just that the z06 is a huge jump! I especially noticed the brakes and the clutch!

Tim,
The Z-28 is a GREAT deal for the $, but the "cheap Vette" image is pretty clear though. Some of us(im a 17yr. old student) can't afford a Z06. :nonod: However, I am studying to be an accountant, the $ will come, and so will the Vettes, Vipers, and whatever else i can afford. <--once im financially stable that is. I was just messin with ya about the "leave us Z-28 owners alone" thing. :yesnod: I havent been for a ride in a Z06 yet, but im sure it will make my Z-28 feel like my moms Daewoo.  :seeya

I can relate. I just rolled 1200 miles today on the 02 Z and the more I drive it, the more I fall in love with it. shhh Don't tell my wife. haha I sold a 720+ pony Z28 and bought this car. I don't have many regrets if any.

Performan Norman, Congrats. You and I aren't alone. I too just picked one up! I'm amazed! This too is coming from someone who had 600-700 HP in every automobile he's ever owned... The brakes are amazing, the ride quality is unmatched, the handling can't be touched by a viper! This is truly the best car I've ever owned!

Ditto that!

I wouldn't call the Z28 a dump truck, but my 98 Z28 MN6, which I traded, did seem top heavy in retrospect. I love both cars. If I could not afford the vette I would have the Z28. :chevy Chevy V8 RULES!

Tim,

"Compared to the Z06 the Z28 is a DUMPTRUCK".

How can you say such a thing. Oh MY. :cry

When I got my Z06 last September 2000, it took me 2 months to sell my 96 Z28. Compared to the Z06, my loved Z28 felt more like a 72 Bonneville. A Dump Truck no, but definately reminded me of a 70's boat.
