I have a problem with my 1997 Corvette. My Bose Delco Radio CD player will not play any CDs that I have burned on my computer,,, plays regular store bought CDs just fine. My question is,,,can I get any Delco radio off like EBAY or do I need to make sure it is a Bose radio? There are a lot of radios for sale. I don't know where the Bose comes into play,,,is it the speaker system or is it the radio itself? What do I need to watch out for,,,,,thanks to all

maybe this is a stupid question, but are you by any chance making a real CD or making a data CD full of .mp3's?
some people that dont have factory cd burning software installed on their computer need to to convert .mp3's first to .wav files, and them put them on CD's

It doesn't mean something is wrong with your radio or that another one will read the ones you make. You need to investigate your cd media and your writing program first.
I have tried different media and took the CD and played it in my brothers Delco CD palyer in his GM truck and it player just fine. His radio is just like mine. I am stumped

No, don't buy another Bose radio unless it comes from another Corvette. Even though it may look the same on the front side, the back side may be different and won't match up with your factory wiring harness. You would be better off getting rid of the Bose and getting a good aftermarket model that plays mp3 and wave files.

I had problems with one of my cars playing them also until I started recording them at the slowest speed I had available, think that was around 4x or 8x. When I did that they would play fine. Also it wouldn't play CD-RW's, only CD-R's. HTH.
