HUD windshield cost

so did mine. used to have a gtp and had it replaced with a non hud windshield. worked just fine. the Z06 windshield is lighter i hear. and cheaper also.

I cant find it now but the HUD windshields are actually thicker at the bottom to reduce ghosting or double imaging...

The issue is double imaging like tstar said, not brightness. Most people don't have any issues using a HUD with a standard windshield. Some people however, see two images, one reflected from each sheet of glass that makes up your laminated windshield. The laminate in the HUD windshield acts as a filter to keep it from reflecting off the second sheet of glass. If you're a very **** person then you'll probably want to the get the HUD windshield. Otherwise, save your money.

I don't have a HUD windshield, and my friend does. His is MUCH BRIGHTER during the day. At night, no difference. I would say if you can afford it, get a HUD windshield.
