Default Shift ****/E brake handle upgrade?

I'm thinking about these: (shift **** and E brake handle by MOMO)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...m=190080588516

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOMO-...90076787QQrdZ1

how difficult are they to install?

I agree, the ebrake is nice. Also, I've seen the shift **** on a C5 somewhere in this forum.
As far as the difficulty level, universal shift ***** are not difficult to install. Three screws are usually
used to tighten automatic ***** towards the base of the ****. MOMO ***** shouldn't be any different.

You'll need an adapter for correct fitment.
use this link: http://www.ltbmotorsports.com/moebingu.html

Try cardomain.com or litewarehouse.com for the correct adapter.

The shift **** is set with three screws at the base, but to get it to sit/function properly you'll need to trim the plastic on the shifter itself.
The vette essentials website has instructions for e-brake handle replacement. You will need to do some grinding on the metal of the e-brake lever, also that e-brake handle does not come with a release button and you'll need an adapter, that's sold seperately, to make it fit snuggly. There are several different sizes to choose from. I bought the adapter for a Mustang, if I recall correctly. All of the parts you need are available at the website that I gave you in the PM the other day.
The install is not difficult, but it is not quite as simple as just removing old parts and installing new.

Did you get the part about needing adapters and the lack of a release button on the new e-brake handle?
