What octane use using

From: 90% of all Fords are still on the road.....the other 10% actually made it home!
We only have 91 octane from the pumps over here on the west coast! 
I usually use Chevron w/Techron,......although I doubt there's really that much difference between it and the Shell w/ V-Power, or even the Texaco w/ Clean System 3. I don't think by using one over the other, my car would run any better or last any longer. I've used all three types of fuel over the years in various cars, and never once felt or noticed much difference between any of them. I also run "Lucas-Oil" fuel additive in my tank every other fill up.

what is the fuel additive good for? is it just a carbon cleaner?
