It's not possible for the DIC to give you longer oil life on one oil versus another, as it's not looking at the quality of the oil, it uses rpm and oil temperature (plus a few other similar factors) in order to determine how fast it counts down to zero.

Just swapped out OEM rear diff and M6 trans fluid for RP MaxGear and SynchroMax, big difference in shifting smoothness. Haven't had the top up since then (I love Florida 
) so I can't comment on gear noise yet. Definitely recommend the stuff, and I'll probably run the oil at my next change.
