I always wave at a modded Stang, or a Cobra or a nice GT that the owner obviously loves. Alot of us vette owners come from mustangs. I will wave at vipers and and nice imports too. They like it when we don't act all stuck up bc we drive a vette. Wave at a young guy in a nice 350Z once in a while, it is appreciated most of the time. A whole lot of them look up to the vette owners, wishing they could afford one (c5) when in reality if they checked they could.
IMHO, the Mustang is an icon, too. Like the Vette, it has been there through the feast and famine phases of the auto industry. I especially like the current generation -- great looking with decent performance at a very reasonable price.
Well it was a beautiful day here in PA yesterday, so I went for a short 25 mile ride.
I couldn't believe it!! A new Mustang GT yells over at me at a red light and says " Awesome car" and gives me the thumbs up!!
I may have to start waving at the stangs now!!
I wave at stangs if they wave..and other cars too... they are car enthusiasts just like we are..nothin wrong with that..the wolrd would be boring with no variety.

Absolutely agree, we're all car lovers.
As long as they bow to their King.
I do have a problem with:
<rant mode on> People with great cars that can't drive them properly. I followed some yob over the coast range the other day in a new Carrera just to check them out. No idea what an apex is, how to corner correctly or the proper application of power. Consistently took the wrong line, then when he hit a straight mashed it to the floor and wobbled like a drunken sailor. I just kept pace and followed my line, breathing easy and marvelling that he didn't high side it. On the other side we both stopped at a store and the dweeb looks at me all smug like he just blew me off. I just smiled and suggested he take a driving course before he killed himself. <rant mode off>

I agree. I appreciate nice machines, I don't really care who makes them.
