Default Cleaning Titanium

I just bought a set of used Titaniums and they have some tar on the mufflers.What do i use to clean them up?Has anyone tried painting them with high heat paint? Thanks for any info.

They should clean up nice. Titanium is tough, you can use a brass wire brush. Later metal polish.

Not sure about painting, paint may not hold well.

Just be careful of the tips, they are flash chrome plated. Don't use too abrasive methods on tips, chrome polish should work nicely.

I have tried to find info on this with no luck. Could you help me here, I put Ti's on my car and would like to read up on this.

I used 000 steel wool. They clean up nice. I don't think I'd paint them as they have a nice gold patina.

Steel wool is the best call, that looks really nice! And yeah, don't paint them. Paint doesn't hold well on titanium.
