Default PIAA 1100X Install

I am replacing my stock fog lights on by '03 Vert with the PIAA driving lights. I want to use as much stock wiring as possible and of course the kit comes with a whole new harness, relay and button.

Question 1: At what point can I tie in my stock wiring, dashboard switch and relay to the PIAA harness?

Question 2: Can I just cut the PIAA harness where the actual lights are installed and tap into the stock wires?

Thanks for the advice!
Pete

Pete, no you cannot use the stock wiring but you can use your existing factory Fog Light Switch

Thanks - followed the instructions you referenced and they work great. I need to aim them a little lower, but what a difference!

I see the link EG gave and it says for Z06's and/or FRCs, to tie into the purple wirer under the fuse box.
If you go by those instructions given, will the piaa's come on with high beams or are they seperate, as you turn them on when you want and off. (Been so long in the garage I cant remember how they work with the stock fogs )

I want to hook them up using the the stock fog light switch and be able to turn on/off when I desire.

Thanks for any and all help.

Like your stock fog lights, they will switch OFF with your high beam. They are actuated via the fog light switch and will work with the park lights or low beams. I normally just drive around with just the PIAAs and leave the barn doors closed.
