Default Header Decision ???

I have a 2000 MN6 vert with a Vararam and GHL exhaust. I'm looking at the AR Headers $1500+/- and the LG Streets $1100 +/- I think the AR are 1 3/4 and the LG are 1 5/8 i do no track or drag racing just spirited road driving. The only other Mods I'll be doing is a LS1 to LS6 ported throttle body and intake? What am I getting for the extra $400 if anything?

I don't think you'll feel much difference between the two with the few mods you listed. I have the Dynatech Supermaxx system which is an awesome set-up. It includes high flow cats and a NASCAR-style X-pipe. Be prepared for your car to get louder (in a good way!)

Not to steal away the thread, but does anyone have suggestions on the best headers (LT'S with Hi flow cats & X pipe) for the price? As listed by the Big Atlanta - AR and LG streets are surely nice; would also consider Melrose, SuperMax, and some other good ones... More info would surely be helpful

I agree, I just bought the Dynatech Supermaxx kit from Tbyrne. It arrived with no hassles. Now it's out to the Ceramic Coater. Can't wait till it comes back so I can install. David

Yes you do! But keep in mind that AR headers are superior to the LG street! You have to compare them to LG pros! The big names like ECS, A&A or the Vette doctors are using AR headers as they got a few more HP with them and don't forget you will always want more power! So do it right the first time and get the best headers on the market!!
IMHO

I agree. Everyone who has posted dyno results after putting on AR headers, with other bolt ons, have had similar results to my bolt ons. I have the LG streets (see sig for the rest). If you're only planning on doing only bolt-ons, you cant beat the value of the LG streets.

If you're planning on doing more serious mods, then you should consider going with the more expensive headers, like AR or LG Pros.
