that's a benefit of owning a vette that I didn't quite expect. Can't wait for the warmer weather, looking forward to experiencing that one.
Here's a tip... on road trips keep a sign that says "Let 'em breathe!" handy... make 2... one to keep in the back window at all times, and the other to show hot femals you drive up on.
2 years back my buddy Adam and I were driving to the cruise-in and got flashed 4 or 5 times
Just letting it go is the best thing.. A few days ago I would havesuggested "go find them, drag them out of the car and kick their a$$e$!!!!!!" But I've been thinking about all the road rage and say someone tailgates you or cuts you off, and an argument happens, you pull over and get shot and killed.. Is a minor annoyance really worth getting killed over? No, it's definetly not.
I've done some pretty silly things, I've pulled over in bad parts of town to car loads of people to speak my mind about their driving, I've stopped in middle of roads, etc.. And I work at a funeral home so I know, you only live once and sometimes life can be really short, and you just gotta let the stupid stuff roll over you..
So I guess I'm lucky that I never got my own a$$ beat or killed..
They were just telling you that they thought Corvettes are number 1! Pay no attention to the little trolls - and remember that the best part of them ran down their father's leg....whoever he is.
I'll join everyone and say that you did do the right thing. I probably wouldn't let it go so easy since I have no tolerance for that and can't stand that kind of happy horse ****. I can't stand it when people, especially teens, don't have respect for other people especially elderly or other's property for that matter . I think other devil dogs here might sympathize with me
"guaranty my boys will never flip someone off and act stupid like that"
You did the right thing....But, your statement above may come back and haunt you one day. Believe me, most parents have no idea what their kids will or have done, no matter how well they are raised, teenagers can and will suprise you....Good luck with yours over the next 18 years...
The parents of those kids also said the same thing on the Attention Deficit disorder forum I was checking!
Sounds crazy but they prob were doing it because they thought your car was cool!!!!!!......I own a motorcycle dealership so I see it a lot.....kind of compared to our generation's "thumbs up".......
Gotta disagree. Though you're at least half right. Based entirely on my 18 year old and his friends, they probably thought your car was cool, and needed to do something to "take you down a notch." Unless you cut them off or something, they were just flashing their I.Q. at you.
I don't see it a lot, but do see it more in the Shelby and less in the Grand Prix.
Not reacting, just waving and smiling, probably got to them more than anything else. My son tells me they do it to provoke a reaction. He used to react, but since he's gotten more control of his reactions, he says they seem to just smolder away.
Yea got flipped off today, not sure why. I was enjoying a nice cruise around town, Loven the sound of my G5X4, minding my own business when a couple of young teens flipped me off. I didnt know them so I know they werent playin. Well I waved anyway.
Did you check to see if they had New Jersey plates???
never got flipped off yet, but got a thumbs-down from a couple of guys in a mustang last summer. Not sure how I would react if someone flipped me off for no reason though....I'd probably just laugh if they weren't within reach that is
I had the same thing happen to me last weekend.. Had a Honda Civic pull a long side of me.. Kid flipped me off, and I heard him yell, "Are you to scared to run that piece of Sh*t" Hair stood up on my neck, I bit my lip and gave them a nice Corvette wave and drove on....
and you didn't smoke his doors why? You wouldn't have even had to go into 3rd gear. Thats simply a cruise for a Vette.
