Sound insulation - You don't have to yell to have a conversation in the car
Bigger Rotors - Better Stopping
C6 Z06 shocks - better handling
Heat tunnel plate - more handling
Sway bars - even more handling
...Supercharger (Ok.. this one isn't a "must have", but it's sure a "Glad I did")
MYVETTEDREAM: I think you hit the nail on the head. I want my car to do all of those things better. I also want a more aggressive sound, just don't want the neighbors screaming at me when I leave to work at 5 in the morning. Don't plan to race the car, but would like a little more (maybe a lot more) "oomph!" when I step on it.
I know there are no must have mods. Just wanted to know what everyone else was doing so I could get some ideas as to what was out there to choose from.
By the way, the hood seal gave me more performance than I expected. I always wondered what warp speed felt like!
Key hole covers!
I just got mine and it was SO easy to install and makes the car sleeker.
The aerodynamics are better too. I think I got 5mpg better on the highway today!

I hear ya Dennis That's why I agree with KidCid too... you want to decide the goal of your mods... but I also believe that it's about the journey, not just the destination.
IMO, Modding itself is a large part of the enjoyment. As for me, I'm happy with the way mine turned out. I put on a Corsa Pace Car exhaust (got it over in the C5 parts section for $600)... had my muffler guy give me an x-pipe for my birthday and so forth... so if budget is a factor, look around, you'll find stuff all over the place... you just have to wait a little onger, but who cares? You have the car people dream about owning, right?
I agree that most of the fun will be in the journey through "Corvette Mod Heaven." Kind of like a kid in a candy store. You know you can't have all of the candy you see and there are some that you just won't like, but the looking is so much fun.

That's one of the best analogy's for it!
Sure makes me wish they were priced the same though
Start with some Longtube headers, a good flowing catback (z06 ti, or my favorite Borla, bullets, corsa), then get some gears if you have a manual (3.73 if you are going for big power mods later on, or 3.90's or 4.10s if you are aren't going to put a blower on or have too much power in the future). After that you could make a decision as to wether or not you want to proceed with big power mods or be happy with what you have. Good luck and have Fun!
From: 90% of all Fords are still on the road.....the other 10% actually made it home!

Once you've answered that, then we can direct you down a mod trail. The only thing I can say at this point is to not start throwing money at the car *****-nilly. Have a plan before you start to mod. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting money and not getting all the enjoyment out of the car that you could.
