Nice looking wheels, but sound too good to be true. I'd be calling them asking about manufacture (where and type, e.g. cast, low pressure cast, etc.), hub-centricity, weight....

those wheels are all over ebay. I have seen one member on this site who bought a set of the solid 5 star ones. They look really nice but the fronts offsets are a little off making the front wheels stick out slightly... You can barely notice though.

I assume they are pretty heavy wheels though and i believe you get what you pay for. These can be found on ebay with tires for around 16-1700.

Let me try and find a pic of that members z06 who is running these wheels.

Hello John!

Congratulations to you! And, yes, owning a Corvette, and, a model vehicle of this performance level is quite a "dream come true". It also appears that you are considering to install one of the most exciting upgrades that any motorsports enthusiast covets dearly: Installing brand new custom aftermarket high performance wheels and tires. And, as you have noticed, there are, indeed, in existence, NUMEROUS aftermarket wheel manufacturers and distributors that offer a range of custom wheel models and products.

Now, with that thought in mind, it is imperative that any consumer realize that there are DIFFERENCES in levels of materials, metalurgy, construction, fitment, assembly, application, sizing availability, wheel offsets, and, therefore, QUALITY in the aftermarket wheel industry. And, it is prudent for you as a consumer to become more thoroughly informed, as well as, to actually research any and all said manufacturers wheel lines BEFORE you buy ANY aftermarket wheel product to be assured of QUALITY, METALURGY, PRECISE MODEL VEHICLE FITMENT, MANUFACTURING LIMITATIONS, SIZING, and, AVAILABILITY.

John, (and, I will be rather general in the following references out of courtesy) the aftermarket wheel product that you are specifically refering to (US Rim Supply) is a distributor for wheels made "offshore" in Asia. In fact, the particular wheels you are refering to is their Ruf Racing model line that is 1). constructed in ONE PIECE WHEEL construction, ONLY (one of the primary reasons for their low cost). 2). These wheels ARE NOT FORGED, and, are an cast Aluminum Alloy, and, therefore, "cheaper" than other custom wheels, as others have noted and seen on e-Bay. 3). These wheels are available in LIMITED OFFSETS, and, LIMITED WHEEL WIDTHS, ONLY (i.e. US Rim Supply Ruf Racing Split 5-Spoke Wheel is available in 18 and 19 inch diameters, ONLY, AND, in up to 10 inch wheel widths, ONLY). Frankly, IMHO, these narrower wheel widths defeat the actual purpose of opting and installing a custom Plus I, or, Plus II custom aftermarket high performance wheel and tire upgrade onto your vehicle.

To continue, 4). These wheels ARE NOT HUBCENTRIC, and, necessitate the installation of Hubcentric Wheel Rings to allow the wheel to better fit the hub of the specific vehicle model vehicle you wish to purchase wheels for. 5). Also, being that these wheels are merely an Aluminum Alloy, and, NOT FORGED, these cast Aluminum Wheels are heavier than their Forged Wheel competitor counterparts within the custom wheel industry, and, weigh (the US Rim Supply Aluminum Alloy Wheels) at approximately 23+ LBS. at 18 inch diameters; 25+LBS. at 19 inch diameters; and, approximately 27+ LBS. in a 20 inch diameter wheel application. 6). Moreover, these wheels ARE NOT suitable for any track events. 7). Lastly, you are also dealing with a relatively new distributor whom DOES NOT make the wheel IN-HOUSE, and, therefore, is not as well informed on ALL the product specifics, NOR, expert on various domestic, and, foreign wheel offsets, fitments, and, vehicle model build nuances across the board to thoroughly assist and advise you regarding precise wheel, and, vehicle model fitment.

However, despite these issues, this distributor serves an important service to the consumer public in that they are, yet, another wheel distributor that offers an attractive LOW COST option for the consumer to consider. Beneficially, this aftermarket wheel product offers affordable wheel and tire options to even the most "humble of means" consumer to, yet, allow such a customer to still be able to afford a great looking wheel and tire upgrade for their prized vehicle. US Rim Supply also offers its product wheel mix in chrome with a one year warranty, and, in a variety of very attractive and standard wheel styles. Finally, I offer this information with all due respect, and, merely in an effort to assist in educating and informing our interested and fellow CF members. Please feel free to PM me for any further feedback, and, I would be happy to assist you. Good luck to you.
