I bought one in Dec 2006. I got it at Pep Boys in Manchester. It cost me, with tax , 85.58. This also include a 5 dollar credit for my dead battery.
The number is 78-800B. The specs are excellent; it has a full replacement guarantee for 3 years and it is prorated for an additional 5 years. It has free road side jump start assistence for 3 years.
I don't have a history on the battery but have not had any problems.

I bought a Bosch (also from Pep Boys) when the previous battery (not a Bosch) corroded so badly from the inside that the positive terminal came out with a chunk of lead fused to it. I've had absolutely no probs w/the new battery.
