Welcome... I made that decision four years ago! But kept my screename... best decision I've made.
Sold my '97 Cobra and it was between a Z06 and an '03 Cobra... the Corvette is a far better car in every aspect.
Yes the Cobra can be made wicked fast in a straight line, but you sit on the car, it feels huge, and it's heavy.
The corvette is more of a fighter jet feel... and it handles

I agree with all that and you can make a C5 stupid fast and it still handles like the fighter jet

Excellent Choice
Take your time and find a car like you want.
There is a lot of great info on the forum, but watch out, it can get addicting.

I also owned a 97 Cobra and Love the 2007 z06. But still own a 1966 Mustange Conv.
I love all cars... Plymouths, Chevy, Ford, Nissan (350Z), and others.

I have been out of the country for a couple of years, but isn't the Jeep the equivalent of the Corvette, short wheel base, convertible, stick shift, aerodynamic style, etc????
You are willing to give up your jeep??
WOW!
