Just verified with Twistmachines.com that theirs is not offered for the C5 Street car because of the loss of the airbag. They said it can be done but not by them.

$1100 if you buy the parts and do it yourself.

Now how do you think that would compare with an A4 to A6 swap with the paddles? Price wise, I mean, cause its obvious the A6 would be a better choice.

New update.....

Same answer from MasterShift, no can do with the airbag,,,yet.
They expect a mid summer wireless option.
So far they're cost for parts is $2900

That C6-A6 is looking better all the time,,,, if it will bolt up.

Is this done with a servo motor on the transmission or is it being done with switches only?

According to what I was told they both have a "controller" box that controls the transmission through the computer.

The guy from MasterShift told me his connects to one side of the horn wire at the steering wheel and sends data down that wire to his controller. The controller is programmable. You can tell it to go directly into drive, or first, or whatever, using the paddles and never need the shifter again (kinda cool, I think). They have an RF one coming out this summer though that will not interfere with the airbag.

$3K plus is a lot (plus installation). It may be a better option to trade the A4 for an A6 and swap out the steering wheel for a C6 to get the controls. Assuming of course that any of this is interchangeable.
