Yeah - you'd have the CORVETTE imprinted permanently in your forehead backwards....you'd have to look at yourself in the mirror to read it.....assuming you survived of course. But it would be a nice touch on a corpse. I can read the headlines and the post now -
Man killed when hits tree. His skull was split by a flying "V" from the metal letters on his airbag cover.
Stick with the plastic ones or the Cyberdyne Graphics letters -
If ANYBODY knows where I can find the STAINLESS letters and line fillers for the fuel rail covers, PLEASE let me know. I saw them at Carlisle last year and when I went to get them, they were sold out. Now I can't find them. I have the acrylic, but they stick out too far and I'd like something closer to chrome. Thanks.

You mean like this?
Photo shows C6 style inserts. '97-04 inserts are custom fitted for the fuel rail covers for that model.
Guys the airbag cover doesn't hit you when it goes off. There are tear strips to make it come off at an oblique angle. Its designed to flip away from your face so the air bag fabric takes the impact.
I'm not saying metal letters are a good idea but if it hits you it really isn't your day.

Yes that is true but the force of the airbags can cause the letters to be torn off the cover and into the window, off the clear top or directly into you.
