Default sun visors

I plan on having my sun visors recovered in leather by VetEssentials, but I have to mail my visors to them first. How hard is it to remove, especially with the mirrors? I would appreciate any help. Thanks Doug

They are easy to remove. Look for the metal bracket that holds the visor to the roof. Right next to the bracket there is a plastic piece with a slot in it. Hold a screwdriver in the slot firm and pull the visor towards the window still holding the screwdriver. You will here it snap out of its holder. Make sure you hold onto the visor. There will be 2 wires coming from the bracket and the visor. Separate the plastic clip and you should be set to go. I just bought the homelink visor for my 2001 and it was a easy fix.

As an alternative:

If you have a car upholstery shop near you they can remove the visor, put the leather on, reinstall and the total time is less than an hour.

I used the VE leather they sent and had ours done locally - worked out fine.

Not hard to remove at all using the above instructions. Be sure to post up some pics when you are done.
