usually 3 to 4 days of keeping them up.... the tint needs time to settle onto the window.... you have rollers inside of your door that will put streaks in the window tint...
I got pulled over within 1 minute of leaving my friends house after installing my Bullets ( with LT and no cats ) and was lucky enough not to get a ticket
Lets see
Speeding ( it was a speed trap and i wasnt paying attention, i was trying to enjoy the sound of my new exhaust )
STraight Pipes
Not Cats
No Front Plate
and Limo Tint all around
sorry for the newbie question about tinting, but why can't you roll down your window with the tint. Can u never roll the window down after you get tint or does something have to set first?
You got it, fellow. Once you tint your vette windows, particularly if you are a member of this forum, you MUST NEVER ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOWS AGAIN.
Sorry, but I, for one, like the law. I like to be able to see where the other driver is looking before I pull out or try to figure out what he/she is doing!
And there's a whole lot of state and locals here in the western part of PA that are not caring what's on your windows!
I was blowing down Route 1 in the Z a few days ago and had a Trooper pull up behind me. I was already looking for a good spot to pull over when he got back in the passing lane and kept going.
Needless to say, I got the point! PA Troopers are pretty cool.
By the way, I've got the limo tint:

good day for you ! lets see, biggest police force in the US where im from (NYC) probably more people get pulled over in a day than most places see in years, yet tinted windows are legal in the state of NY. tints protect the interior, and they lower glare. bad guys with weapons aren't going to let not having tints stop them from carrying concealed, wonder why its not a nationwide law and some states allow them. im all for tints, but GB the LEOS too, thats a very tough career
Turds?
I've got a very good sense of humor, thank you.
Ahh Com'on! I'm NOT bashing Troopers, or cops as far as them doing their jobs..I hope I did'nt come across as a 'cop-hater' I am NOT. I just hate getting CAUGHT! (don't we all???)
I'm a retired Trooper with a ZO6.Guess I'm an old turd that likes Vettes.Oh well, I've been called worse.
Sorry LawZ...it was meant with Humor! Did'nt mean to come across as a Cop hater! I know allll about the stuff you guys/gals go thru and know it is a highly dangerous job, with little or no gratitude at times. No Offense was meant!
They were on the car when I bought them. As much as previous owner tried to tell me they're GM option chromies, they seem to the the reproduction. Either way I like them (for now.)
Go to the North East forum and check out the local cruise set for this Saturday @ Ridley Creek State Park. I'll most likely have the Z there for a bit.
Did not take it that way at all.I thought it was funny. After all the stuff I heard over my 26 years,I'm pretty thick skinned.BTW, I have limo tint also,I think it looks cool.
