You are SO LUCKY!!! I had 20% tint on my 2000 and the same thing happened to me. I wasn't so lucky. The Trooper was having a bad day and took it out on me. I have too many things I can be caught for (no cats, etc.) so I took the 20% off my door windows and left the rest on the hatch. It passed and problem solved, but I love the way my car looked with 20% tint all around. Enjoy.

I think he is saying that the DPS just didn't get the joke
Joke - A police officer was on the side of the road radaring vehicles. He catches one going 20 over the limit. The officer pulls the vehicle over and says "son I've been waiting for you all day". The driver says " well I tried to get here as fast as I could".
