Default Connecticut Vettes

It won't be long now. Wax them up. However I did see some anxious C-6's yesterday. A little too salty, wet, and sandy for me.

I hear ya, every street corner has a pile of melting snow that turns into a salt wash. Hopefully it's all gone by next weekend.

HEY Pewter,
Did you buy your car this year around November in Sandy Hook from an older couple? I saw an '01 pewter coupe on E-bay, looked beautiful, low miles, but I balked, it was a good deal as I recall. I'm formerly from Oxford, CT. Been in VA, now almost 2 years. I drove home with the top off my coupe in 78 degree temps yesterday, I've had it off now almost 15 times this season already, every time it's above 60. I'll have to look you guys up when I'm up visiting family in June, of course I'm taking the 'Vette. BTW, just love that Pewter color! Sure would have been easier to keep up than this damn black (I live on a dirt road).

John

I quess there's two schools of thought. I think of the vette as a nice weather car. And Connecticut is not too nice in the winter.

Ah, I remember the old days of pulling my 68 out of the rented garage in Naugatuck, CT on a rare, sunny and dry January day. I can still hear a friend's voice asking me, "It's JANUARY; why the heck are you driving your Vette?" Connecticut is a beautiful place during Spring and Fall, for that I will award it credit!

114,000 miles on the FRC, i bought the car in '05 for $15k, no sense in worrying about a few chips

i do run some M&S tires in case i get stuck in some moderate snow storms

life is too short for lesser winter cars, IMHO
