Default do clbs go bad
when i start to pull off the car goes dead like you've got the service column lock massage on the DIC

I would guess that just like anything else they can go bad. Haven't heard of it happening much on here though.

Been about 5yrs on my and so far so good! Do you hear the zip nosie when you shut dn? That might mean the column lock is functioning again if you have the bypass.

i keep mine in the fridge when i'm not using it, keeps it pretty fresh.
