I did mention asking about the cost difference on an LS6 to my wife, and she actually took it well. She teased me a bit, but I remained male.

That's funny. After my wife asked if I was alright she suggested, "Maybe now we can buy a bigger high horsepower engine." I was amazed and glad but still couldn't eat. I was on the internet when she wasn't looking seeing what it would cost to put in the 427. I even called my Dad up in Detroit to talk to some of his GM friends and engine shops in the area to see what they could do for me if I did go to the 427.
