Glen, I would highly recommend LG Motorsports...
Great shop/service and have traveled the 1200 mile round trip on more than one occasion for their services...Talk to Lou and he will take care of you..
If GM says LS1 crate motor, I will ask how much to upgrade to an LS6.
Good for you, go for it Glenn. I just read your email. Did they confirm bent or broken rods yet? I know when I did a similar thing this past August I just about got sick and I couldn't eat for two days until they told me the complete news and extent. I sure hope the best for you in this and that you won't have to pay out of pocket. I was furtunate the insurance actually was going to cover it.

You couldn't eat? I'm doing the opposite, just warmed up some dessert.
I hope to know something mid-day Thursday.
I did mention asking about the cost difference on an LS6 to my wife, and she actually took it well. She teased me a bit, but I remained male.
ls6 long block around $5400, complete motor about $7400, not installed price from Scoggins Dickey etc. Labor about $1500 or so ($90 an hour in DFW area) at dealers. good luck.
