While listening to a Los Loney Boys CD this moring the Stero/CD system went dead. I fidled with it and the radio came on. When I hit the button for the remote CD (12 stack case in the rear compartment) all I got was an "ERR" message. Pulling the stack out and restarting the system did no good. (Did this several times. Even heard the system cycling through...) Later, punching the CD/AUX button I did not even get another "ERR" message. NADA! I went to the dealer and they were also "stumped" after fiddling with it for a while. They placed a call to the stereo manufacturer in California. We're waiting for their tech support to call back.
The radio works as does the in-dash CD player. Anyone have an idea what I can do to get the remote unit to function again? Mahalo!
Mistakenly, I once loaded all 12 CD's upside down, got the ERR message, heard it cycle through and was confused as to why it wouldn't play. A couple of days later I took the 12 disc cartridge out and discovered I had loaded it wrong...duh!! Not suggesting this happened to you but it was easy to do and a frustrating problem to solve.

Thanks, but that's not the problem. Haven't touched it in a few weeks and it was palying fine this morning then "poof"!
I got it working again after the "tech" told me it was dead and to get a replacement. Never say die, I disconnected and removed the unit (6 screws and the power cord) and discovered a CD was jammed in the head. Removed the CD, installed the unit, reloaded the CDs and it works like new. However, before I got it to work again there was a issue with the CD "carrier" not exiting the remote unit. As in, it was "stuck". Another call to the tech. He said to insert a thin metal piece (I used my "Slim Jim") between the back side of the carrier and the remote unit and depress a "tang". I did and the carrier rose up from its resting place. Just like an Easter miracle..............

Been there done that. I added a the factory CD changer to mine that I bought used on the forum. Got it all installed and then almost lost my mind when it didnt work. Seems somebody loaded the CD's upside down in mine too. I'm gonna blame it on the wife as to remain cool and stuff
I have a simular problem I can not fix. My CD magazine will not eject after playing CD,s. The changer works and plays fine, but will not eject magazine when you open the changer door. Ideas on this problem?
