DTE itself will not give HP for each stage.........what you are going to get from forum members is just their opinions as what to do.
That said and only as the most vague of guidelines:
Stage one -- good to 400 to 450
Stage two -- 450 to less than 550
Stage three -- 500 to 700
Stage four --- 700 to 800
anything over 800 or severe racing or drag racing == Stage five (and get ready to replace it........) JMHO, as I am sure you will get many others.
When I bought mine, I went with stage 2 to give myself some ceiling for future modifications.......
I asked them the same question and they said that they dont give HP ratings considering the variables can be to great.
If you put a stage 1 behind a 550rwhp setup and only putt it around on weekends and drive like a poon then its gonna last.
If you stick a stage 4 behind a stock setup but thrash the living hell out of it doing donuts on slicks and dont change the fluid as recommended it has the chance of failure.
So as I said the variables are to great to say what diff holds what.
But for reference I have a stage 4 behind my 449 making 600+ rwhp and I drive it everyday, I have over 3000 miles on it and my car sees redline very frequently and I have had ZERO issues.
I cant say enough about DTEs products and the people both are fantastic.
good list. Im about 350 wheel hp right now. Not sure how high I want to go. the price difference between stage 2 and 3 is about 600 dollars I think. Something for me to think about.
