Default Are turn signal issues common?

Sometimes my turn signals don't want to work, but when I reach over and touch my 4 way flasher button, they begin to work......is this a common issue and is there an easy fix?

Not sure how common it is, but the 4 ways do malfunction and can cause the problem you're describing. I believe the fix is to R&R the 4 way switch...

Failure of the 4 way flasher unit is a regular problem. The only way to fix it permanently is a new switch. To change it you need to strip down the console. There's a DIY posted when you decide to do the job.

Problems with water ingress into the light units causing bulb failures is also common.

Fairly common problem. Have a look at post #12 in this thread for the easiest way to change it yourself.

Default Easy fix

I believe the issue with the 4 way switch is contaminated contacts internal to the switch. Well over a year ago I had the exact same problem. After being in the electronics industry for 38 years I understand the issues with contamination in/on electronic components.
My recommendation is get yourself some electronical contact cleaner (plastic safe) and spray generous amounts directly into the 4 way switch and push the switch 20-25 times. Do ths a few times and I think all will be well. Good luck! Ron

I'm curious...is this the only flasher on the C5? I was looking and looking and noticed there is none on either of the fuse blocks...Figures they will go and HIDE it deep inside the dash. Regardless, I'm going in!
