No not just you! It seems to be an annomily or something! Never really understood why it is!

But it just does! I keep a car duster in the Vette just to remove the dust and dirt when we go somewhere!

Thanks,Matt

You need to drive faster, so the dirt does'nt catch up to you.

Covered and garaged, yet the pesky dust still shows up. On the road, light sand is the worst.

Yep, as already mentioned it's the aerodynamics of our cars. Sure, some of the dust settles from above, but more of it comes from what gets picked up from the tires as we drive. Even when the car is completely dry it still happens. The wider the tires the more dust there is back there. (Unless your tubbed and tucked)

There's nothing you can do about the license plate area, but I've heard the flush mount tail lights do help some in that area. I also do the same thing others do, and that's carry a duster with me at all times. Also having a Black or dark car means you're constantly having to use that duster too.

Bottom line: It's just one of those things you're gonna have to get use to. Besides, our cars weren't designed to just sit around and be kept clean all the time. Get out there and drive it and don't worry about the small stuff. When you're done........dust it off!!!

I have found that, since installing the tail light seals when adding my blackouts, very litlle dust collects there anymore.

Got 'em from http://www.southerncarparts.com/corv...9704-p-41.html

Those seals definitely help with keeping some of the water out when washing it, but that 3/4 - 1" lip that's there still collects the dust. It just doesn't get down in behind it like it does without them. I also have the seals in mine, but it doesn't stop it from getting dusty there.

Those seals prevent that pesky dust that comes from the INSIDE of the car and builds up on the taillight housing.
